If you have a pool in the East Valley, you know that we have a long and fun swim season!! Well, those great hot temps are fun for swimming, but NOT good for empty pools. Ideally you will drain your pool when temps are below 90 degrees, sure there are exceptions to this rule, such as Pebble Tech pools, but it is a good idea to drain your pool in the cooler temps!

In Arizona it is recommended to drain your pool and fill with fresh water every 2-5 years. Your swimming pool is a closed system, so over time chemicals and solids build up in your pool and the only way to truly get rid of them, is a fresh start! Keep in mind that the environment, sunscreen, sweat, chemicals, leaves, grass and more get into your pool, overtime that will cause your chemistry to get out of whack and the best correction is to drain your pool.

We can simply drain your pool, fill it up and get it started up! By started up, we flush the lines (if you have DE or Cartridge Filter we recommend cleaning your filters), add start-up chemicals and get your equipment back up and going!!
Pool Draining and Acid Wash:
When your pool is empty, this is a great time to consider a chemical pool cleaning service, such as an Acid Wash.
Pool Draining and Chlorine Bath:
Acid Washing is great for stains, but it can be very harsh on pool surfaces. If you Acid Wash frequently, it can increase your need to resurface your pool sooner than later which can be very costly. Chlorine Bath is a great alternative to Acid Wash. Chlorine Bath is most commonly used when we are cleaning a “Green Pool”, because it will kill off any Algae living in the cracks or crevices of your pool.
Calcium Line:
Every swimming pool in Arizona has a white calcium line along the water line. We all use to “deal” with it, but over time it builds up. If you are like us, when we are swimming we will hang out and take a pumice stone to it, but after a lot of elbow grease, you will still see that annoying white line. We have many methods to remove “the line” depending on the surface.
Bead Blasting/Tile Cleaning:
We can BLAST that white line and reseal your tile so you can enjoy your pool tile for years to come! That white water line can be an eyesore and also very difficult to get rid of. Trust the team at Aloha Desert Pools to bust that scum right off!
